Professional Golf Lesson for Beginners        14:30-16:30

A group golf lesson for beginners at Tullamore Golf Club by golf professional Brian McCormack. Clubs will be provided. Please note that the Tullamore Golf Club has a clothing policy similar to most golf clubs. Standard golf attire required – casual dress (slacks and collared T-shirt. No jeans, tracksuits, hoodies or jerseys.)

Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery Visitor Experience

Experience a day like no other as we take you ‘behind the scenes’ of the state-of- the-art Distillery. Explore the home of Tullamore D.E.W. from distillation to maturation while meeting some of the characters who work on-site every day. Sip an Irish coffee, feel the warm embrace of heat from the bubbling stills and inhale the rich whiskey aromas from the 50,000 oak casks that lie sleeping in the maturation warehouse.

Visit Ireland’s only custom built warehouse snug and discover the art of blending before savouring three of Tullamore D.E.W.’s award winning whiskeys. A distillery tour in Ireland that’s not to be missed.

If you are unable to participate in the whiskey tasting because of driving, you can opt to take home sample bottles instead.

Tullamore Parkrun                                          08:45-10:30

Saturday parkrun: a 5k run, jog or walk at the local parkrun.  

The event is free; you should register with www.parkrun.ie  and print off a barcode so that you can get a time.  Registration is also free, it takes only a few minutes, is for life, and allows you to participate in parkruns throughout the world. 
We can join the other parkrunners for coffee at The Old Warehouse, Bury Quay after the run.

     

Lecture                                                             11:15-12:30

A presentation/lecture on the history of Tullamore by Offaly Historical and Archaeological Society. Founded in 1938, the Society aims to promote and preserve the rich heritage of Co. Offaly.
