Ballycastle Museum                                                           14:00 - 15:30

15 minutes

A small museum with an impressive collection of interesting items, which you will be introduced to by the museum guide and then have time to peruse on your own.

Mini Golf Tournament                                                     14:00 - 16:00

5 minutes

Lots of fun to be had on this very compact landscaped course, with a local information fact board at each hole, and it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel.  Not only is it educational but it’s the full 18 holes, so no slacking as you pit your wits against the obstacles and your fellow team mates.  Teams from 2 to six.

If 18 holes is too daunting a task, you can opt for 9 and still have time to do this after the Ballycastle Museum!

Rathlin Island  - Day Visit                                                        09:45 - 16:45

This trip will require quite a lot of walking but is worth the effort, especially if you get to see some puffins or hear a corncrake.

Rathlin is around 5 miles long and has a Seabird Centre at its west end, along with an upside down lighthouse which has a viewing platform you can descend to. However, there is an 89 step descent to the viewing platform, so make sure your knees are in good working order!

Beside seabirds, there is lots of other wildlife on the island, including common and grey seals.

The public transport on the island is by two minibuses and costs £5 cash only.

Lunch is PAYG on the island, with a couple of cafes and two licenced premises, McCuaig’s pub or the Manor House to choose from.

You will require stout footwear and waterproofs for this visit, so make sure you have everything you need for the day and don’t forget your camera!
